Films must include accessibility features from September

Starting September, producers must include accessibility features, such as subtitles and audio descriptions, when applying for a censor certificate. The IMPPA, following directives from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and CBFC, mandates these features for films, with phased deadlines: September 2024 for multilingual films, January 2025 for award entries, and March 2026 for all films.
