Scuba diving
  • PM Modi on Sunday embarked on a scuba diving experience off the Panchkui beach coast in Gujarat to witness the submerged ancient city of Dwarka, associated with Lord Krishna.
  • Wearing a white diving helmet and ochre robes, Modi sat cross-legged on the sea bed, offered prayers, and waved peacock feathers to Lord Krishna.
A historic date
  • On February 25, 2002, Modi had entered the Gujarat Assembly after winning a by-election from the Rajkot constituency.
  • Addressing a public rally in Rajkot, PM Modi said that exactly 22 years ago, he took the oath as an MLA.
  • He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 48,100 crore in Rajkot.
  • In his speech, the PM listed the accomplishments of his government and asserted that 'Modi's guarantee means the guarantee of completion.'
Jibe at Congress
  • Criticising UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Modi expressed concern about the perceived lack of commitment to the welfare of Raebareli. Gandhi is the Raibareli MP.
  • Inaugurating AIIMS Raebareli along with four other AIIMS facilities in different states through a videoconference, Modi said the “Shahi Parivar [Royal Family]” of the Congress engaged in politics, while his government took concrete steps by establishing AIIMS in the region.
‘Focus on economy’
  • Modi highlighted his government's commitment to ending scams, resulting in the country's progress and the creation of grand infrastructure.
  • “When you sent me to Delhi in 2014, I made a promise that I would not let the country be looted anymore. The scams worth thousands of crores during the Congress tenure have now stopped. In the last 10 years, we made India the 5th largest economy in the world”, he said.
‘Sudarshan Setu’
  • Modi also dedicated India's longest four-lane cable-stayed bridge to the nation.
  • Named Sudarshan Setu, the 2.32 km bridge on the Arabian Sea connects Okha to Beyt Dwarka island in Dwarka.
